The Pub The Cricketers is a country pub and dining rooms with a large beer garden and outdoor patio dining in the summer. The pub is a beautifully refurbished and extended early 19th century public house. The owners seem to have successfully negotiated the transition from ordinary local pub, through gastro-pub, to up-market restaurant. The quality is excellent, although the higher prices do mean that we go there less often now, for special occasions rather than our regular meals out. They'll now have to change the name of the road to "No.15 Road"!

Pleasant surroundings and ambience. Big group of sweary rugby types just inside the door slightly off putting but further in its a pleasant family pub. Decent selection and the roast beef was spot on and we didn’t have to wait too long. Less than £90 for family of four including tip, very good value these days.
