We made a reservation for New Years Day for 10 people, and we’re easily accommodated when we needed to adjust the time. All the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly, professional and helpful. Even though they were very busy due to the holiday, we were served in reasonable time and all of our needs were met. We had an excellent seat with a beautiful view of the lake at sunset. Excellent experience!

My wife and I ate here for our 29th anniversary last night. Everything we ate was 100% spot on. You could tell there was a lot of thought behind every dish. The cooking techniques were incredible- everything was done to enhance the flavor of the dish without being flashy for the sake of being flashy. We did the 10 course dinner and are still debating which of the dishes we enjoyed the most. An added benefit of the restaurant- the smell of the smoke used for the cooking permeates the air which adds to the experience. The servers were casual but all incredibly professional and helped to create a memorable night. Bonus points for an interesting and fun wine/sake/cocktail list! We can't wait to come back.

Sunnyside is such an iconic Tahoe venue. Always good food and excellent service. A must go if you come through Tahoe City.

Holiday meal in a winter wonderland. Everyone at restaurant worked extra hard to provide plenty of holiday cheer. The special Christmas menu offered something for most food choices. Few nice places to dine after a long drive up to Tahoe today. Thankfully River Ranch was open. Will go out of my way to support them on low season weekdays.

This is now my favorite Tahoe restaurant. Everything was absolutely delicious. The stuffed quail was an amazing appetizer. The butternut squash soup with a hint of curry was very unique, delicious, and flavorful. The Branzino with the scallops were one of the best preparations of my favorite fish. The ambiance very cozy and a bit whimsical. Service was great. I love everything about this restaurant. Definitely will dine there again.
