I’m a foodie. The dips, falafel, branzino and lamb burger were excellent. Unfortunately, the desserts were awful. Not fresh. The baklava and cheesecake were dried out and stale. Such a shame. Literally, we left with a bad taste in our mouths.

Verla continues to be a great place to dine. There is literally something for everyone! All dishes are prepared with care and attention to detail. The chef is inventive and accessible, happily swapping a veg side for something else. You can’t go wrong at Vela. Great job, Michael!

The environment was great! The waiting staff was very kind and patient. They recommended many dishes from the menu and specials. I enjoyed every dish and look forward to returning. Every dish had its own unique taste and I couldn’t have enough. I will be back soon for some other dishes!

We dined with another couple and all of us loved the wide selection and the quality of the dishes we ordered. We'll definitely return.
