Chef/Owners Lisa & Terry Harwood opened Vine Street Cafe in 2003. Located on South Ferry Road, just 1.5 miles from the South Ferry. Chef Terry works with area farmers, fishermen & vineyards and features their natural bounty on his seasonal menus. We make everything in house and Lisa's desserts, ice creams and fruit crisps are no exception. Recently, we opened a small market behind the restaurant. This is where you pick up take-out orders while stocking your home pantry. Specialty catering is available along with ready fresh meals such as meatballs, chicken salad, bread, smoked ribs, BBQ Sauce and a selection of artisan pastas. Reservations are highly recommended year round.

Set in a historic countryside home, the restaurant celebrates the bounty of Long Island’s farms, vineyards & waterways with menus by restaurateur & chef John Fraser. The restaurant’s menu focus is seasonally inspired featuring locally grown biodynamic and organic produce, the freshest seafood from the pristine Peconic Bay and Long Island Sound and award-winning North Fork duck and beef.     This restaurants consistency is unsurpassed. Food delicious plus great vibe and good pricing. Something that is hard to find in this community. The service was so friendly and attentive and for the value it’s one of the best restaurants of its kind. The menu is really diverse and interesting and their specials weekly are just amazing. Dining room ambience cozy and airy.

    Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable staff. Francesco was our server and he was outstanding. The food was delicious and prepared perfectly. Wonderful way for us to spend our Valentines Day.

    Intimate, quiet dining experience perfect for date night with your spouse, or just a first date. Cozy atmosphere and attentive service. We had the pork chop, and the mahi mahi, and we both would come back for it again.

    Overall a wonderful experience from the minute we arrived until we left. We were initially ushered to a table for 2 and my husband asked if we could have a 4-top. Within a minute we moved to a spacious table. Immediate exceptional customer service! From then it only got better. Jason, our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and friendly without being intrusive. Each course was delicious and this was a first: no leftovers. We literally cleaned our plates. Can’t wait to return.
