The Grain House Restaurant is located on the picturesque 10-acre estate of the Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ. The Grain House structure was originally built as a barn in the 1760’s and was used to store grain for American Revolutionary soldiers. The barn was later moved to its current location and opened as a restaurant in the 1930’s. Today, the Grain House is a renowned restaurant in North/Central New Jersey, with a comfortable, casual ambiance. The restaurant serves innovative, traditional and contemporary interpretations of American cuisine with some added international accents, prepared under the direction of Executive Chef John Benjamin. Delicious homemade desserts complete the menus, which are revised several times a year. Very good! Overall great experience, I think they should have more variety of proteins options, especially for the vegetarian entree. The food was delicious. I would imagine it would be better to see the property during the day.

What a wonderful way to spend an anniversary. The staff was marvelous, especially our waitress , Leah and bartender, Bill. The food was delicious and very ample. We will come back very soon.

In from out of town and went for Christmas Eve dinner. Restaurant was exactly what I was hoping it would be, small family place with great service, friendly staff and delicious homemade Italian dishes. 10/10 will definitely make a point to come back next time I’m in the area.
