Amoura is an Eastern Mediterranean restaurant inspired by the owners’ Palestinian heritage, and shaped by its location in Northern California. The cuisine incorporates dishes and ingredients from across the Middle East, Greece, and Turkey showcasing the many complementary flavors, ingredients, and cooking techniques used throughout this vibrant culinary region. Everything is prepared fresh from scratch daily using the highest quality produce, meats, and seafood available, including local and organic products whenever possible. Beautiful Modern Mediterranean restaurant by Chefs Laura and Sayat (Star Chefs and San Francisco Chronicle Rising Stars) at the Main Parade Lawn in the heart of the Presidio National Park. The restaurant's menus feature Presidio-inspired seasonal craft cocktails, a progressive wine menu, and a cuisine that balances the comfort of familiar Mediterranean flavors with California sensibilities. In cohesion with the Presidio National Park, the design features soft, natural colors; repurposed furniture items from the Presidio; and a mural and a hand-drawn wall paper by Bay Area artist Emily Parkinson. Diners can enjoy a patio with a view of Alcatraz; an intimate private dining room; a lofty main dining room surrounded by windows on two sides; a cozy bar that is a local favorite; and an open-concept kitchen counter with counter seats and high tables.

    Excellent flavors. Great service Fun environment. Good place for group gathering. Good selection of alcohol and non-alcohol drinks. Expensive for lunch but quality of food/overall experience offers OK value. I will return.

    We always enjoy Foreign Cinema. They are great about accommodating my wheelchair, the food is fantastic, and the service is always excellent. We love it.

    We loved the fun vibe and the beautiful view of the Bay Bridge, but we were a little disappointed in the food this time. The oysters were fabulous, but the squid appetizer that our Waiter recommended was only so so. It tasted too fishy/anchovy strong. My daughter ordered the miso cod, and although she liked it, she said it wasn’t what she expected (needed broth). I ordered the scallop appetizer which was good, but nothing special. My husband ordered the duck and he was happy with his selection. We’ve enjoyed some fabulous dinners at Waterbar, but we probably won’t be coming back anytime soon.
