Just opened 14 Feb 2022!Walking into Emilia’s Wood Wharf will be like entering a bustling trattoria in Italy’s Emilia Romagna region with an ambience created by natural terracotta-plastered walls bathed in natural light, rustic Iroko furniture, creamy crema marfil marble counters and hand-painted Italian tiles. Chefs making fresh pasta greet diners at the window in a special dedicated custom-made area visible from all sides. The thoughtfully designed interior cleverly combines a vibrant bar area with a custom table bocce for some competitive socialising in half the restaurant, with a cosy rustic restaurant section for more intimate moments and lingering conversations. Inspired by the Castile y León region of Northern Spain, the restaurant and bar is vibrant yet relaxed, with a beautiful heated terrace for outdoor drinking and dining all year round.This location is particularly special to us, as it was in Shoreditch that our first ever bar Cantaloupe, opened back in 1995. The neighbourhood sparked the DNA that then lived on in all of the restaurants and bars we’ve opened since, and we’re delighted to have returned home again after all these years.

The restaurant was well decorated and maintained. There were great songs playing, and these were similar to ones I listen to on my own. The music was also not too loud which was great. The waitress was very attentive and checked that we enjoyed our time/food.

Heerlijk gegeten. Lekker verse pasta en een heerlijke Pannetone als toetje. Het andere toetje was al bereid (uit de koeling) dat was het enige minpuntje. Dat is vers toch echt lekkerder. Maar overall heerlijk gegeten!
