Inspired by the best pizza of New York City and Naples, Italy. In 2005, Annie and Craig Stoll annexed the space next door to their James Beard Award winning Delfina restaurant fulfilling a long time dream of bringing Neapolitan-inspired pizzas to San Francisco. The 600 square foot space was an instant neighborhood hotspot, and Pizzeria Delfina became the ""darling of the San Francisco food scene"" opening a second location in 2008 to popular demand. In 2014, Annie and Craig expanded into the Peninsula with Pizzeria Delfina in Palo Alto. Established in 1959, owners Jenny Youll and Mike Sabina expanded the once small coffeehouse of St. Michaels Alley into this intimate dining establishment in 2009. The restaurant provides three comfortable spaces for a dinner out with friends, date night, or a complete private event. The main dining room is wood paneled and intimate. The front room / bar area is more casual and social, yet still offers tables with linens and the full menu. The solid wood bar is a favorite dining spot for many of the regulars and locals. A beautiful outdoor patio is most enjoyable on warm summer days and nights as it open to the sky. The food and service were amazing and the outdoor seating area was beautiful. Only setback was we saw rats in the vines throughout dining. While wildlife cannot be fully controlled, keeping up with pest control to limit this is ideal.

The whole experience was fabulous. Our server, Andy, made the entire experience so much more enjoyable and adapted the courses to each of our respective palates. every course they brought out was divine, and truly food like we had never had before. 100/10 experience, would highly recommend to anyone considering!

Local Union has wonderful, great,quality food. Service is always excellent. They have a great variety to choose from and love that they brunch choices (scrambles, benedicts, and omlettes) served until 3 every day!

Osteria is a gem of a restaurant. It has an excellent menu, a wonderful old world ambiance and professional staff. We really appreciated the soft background holiday music that made our table conversation effortless. The salads, pastas and the hazelnut flan were all so enjoyable. Che buono!
