From now on, Kappo will be held in Miyabi restaurant, Santa Monica. Miyabi (雅) is one of the traditional Japanese aesthetic ideals, meaning "elegance," "graceful" and "courtliness". There are a lot of complexities of Japanese cuisine, including not only food, but also visitors, music, and order of food. We had a lovely dining experience at Water Grill, Santa Monica. Our server, Melissa was lovely, genuinely personable, and it was evident that she loves her job because her expertise and positivity shines through. Our dinner selections were deliciously satisfying and capped off nicely by a scrumptious key lime pie. This spot is a gem and we definitely will be visiting again soon :)

Running out of polenta was sad for my birthday selection -however the foods we did get were excellent. Thank you for celebrating my birthday with a sweet treat! Will return!

The food was great, but our waiter did not ask us if we needed more water/drinks when we were done with the first round. I asked for a water refill several times over the dinner time, and we needed to ask for a dessert menu because it was not offered. Staff could have been more attentive, but I hope it was because our dinner was the next day after Christmas, and everything is usually slow this time.
