Café Berlin has been serving authentic German cuisine on Capitol Hill since 1985. It occupies the ground floor of three townhouses whose front yards serve as Biergarten for outdoor dining. The interior features a small bar and two cozy dining rooms. The restaurant is located within a short walking distance of Union Station and the U.S. Capitol. It draws politicians, congressional staffer, and tourists as well a loyal following of neighborhood residents. The traditional dishes are authentically prepared with lighter touch by chefs with extensive experience in German cuisine. Had a great first experience at The Smith. Our server Terra was very nice and conveyed the specials and the menu well. She made sure we were having a great experience which can be a rare find in restaurants now a days. The pressed chicken was fantastic as was the 3 leaf salad. Great spot for before a Caps game. Looking forward to my next visit and will recommend to friends. Thanks Terra!

Very nice venue! Parking isnt good but they had valet. Food was good! Service was great! Lala was amazing! Front desk staff was above and beyond! Not sure her name but short hair cut with twist on top! Black young lady! Band was nice overall great time glad I came out!
