Café Berlin has been serving authentic German cuisine on Capitol Hill since 1985. It occupies the ground floor of three townhouses whose front yards serve as Biergarten for outdoor dining. The brunch buffet was definitely worth the price. I typically don’t like buffets but there were plenty of options and the food was consistently replenished. The baklava pancakes, the brussel sprouts and the seafood options were my favorite.

The Smith is consistently outstanding. We had an awesome meal. The place was packed but our server was attentive. I had the soba noodles and added salmon. It was awesome. The others in my party had the vodka penne and gnocchi and they said it was awesome.

Cranes does not disappoint! Extremely well prepared and beautifully presented, the tapas dishes were fresh and provided exotic flavor combos. The dishes tend to be fairly heavy despite the small plate size because many of the dishes are fried and my only wish is that there were more variety of veggies available.
