A contemporary take on the classic oyster bar, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, near BAM, Barclay's, the Paramount, and Atlantic Terminal. Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Our menu consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. A rotating selection of larger plates features items such as Black Cod Almondine and Blackened Swordfish Belly.To drink, Strange Delight updates old classics, serving both a Hurricane and Ramos Gin Fizz service for 2, alongside Martinis and Sazeracs. Best dining experience I've had in years. Now one of my top 3 restaurants to recommend to out of towners. Not a bad dish, and closing out with complimentary bread pudding was delightful.

We came here for a date before going to the NY comedy club for a show. The hostess was very warm and welcoming, the waitress we had was super bubbly and nice. She came to the table often checking if we had water and if we needed anything. At the end she even offered us desert on the house which was amazing and delicious. I had the smoked burger which tasted amazing and my wife had the brick chicken which was so soft and juicy. Overall great experience, lovely staff, tasty food.
