A contemporary take on the classic oyster bar, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, near BAM, Barclay's, the Paramount, and Atlantic Terminal. Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Our menu consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. Our waiter AUSTIN was exceptionally helpful. One guest was having a diabetic episode and we had to get food to him immediately. He was most helpful.

Love our meal at strange delight. The room is surprisingly beautiful. The cocktails were very well-made. And the dishes we tried were wonderful. Prices are definitely high, the gin ramos fizz is $10 more than when it was reviewed in August, but I would return. The food, drinks and ambulance were wonderful.

The service was lagging but we were aware that there was a staff meeting at the time of our reservation (5P 12/24) . The available staff was attentive. Food: we ordered East Coast Oysters - fresh and delicious however minuscule . My husband had the best NY strip steak with Bearnaise sauce- ever. My third visit to Grand Brasserie- I again ordered the Lyonaise Salade without regret (and some to take home!)
