A contemporary take on the classic oyster bar, located in Fort Greene, Brooklyn, near BAM, Barclay's, the Paramount, and Atlantic Terminal. Strange Delight finds its influence in New Orleans and is also inspired by the rich history of oysters in New York. Our menu consists of regional seafood prepared in a variety of styles: Charbroiled Oysters and Shrimp Remoulade share the stage with classic seafood towers and Oysters Rockefeller. A rotating selection of larger plates features items such as Black Cod Almondine and Blackened Swordfish Belly.To drink, Strange Delight updates old classics, serving both a Hurricane and Ramos Gin Fizz service for 2, alongside Martinis and Sazeracs. Gigino Trattoria opened its doors in August of 1994. The owners, Bob Giraldi and Phil Suarez, along with executive chef Luigi Celentano, have kept Gigino flourishing in the ever-changing Tribeca neighborhood. Chef Celentano creates both the menu and wine list, with daily specials of seasonally fresh seafood, game and vegetables. Gigino prides itself on the fact that all their dishes are prepared to order and almost all their pastas and breads are house-made. Fresh fish specials are featured on the “specials blackboard” daily, and it’s safe to say they also have the best pizza in Tribeca! Dining at Gigino Trattoria is a pleasure every time!

We are a first come first serve all day restaurant. Walk-ins of all party sizes are encouraged at any time!Our journey started on a quiet West Village street called Carmine. Two brothers, Dave and Pete, made a bold decision. Without any business experience, any real plan, or anything resembling a thought beyond getting through the day, we opened a restaurant. What we had lacked in experience we made up for with spirit and creativity. We did not want to be businessmen. We were artists. Our little shop at 33 Carmine St. was our original canvas. We set out with a simple mission: to create a place where people would want to be. We named it after our dogs, Moose and Goose Lane. Our Nolita location opened four years later in 2011.
