il Portico Opened in 1988 ~Same Ownership ~ Fine Italian CuisineLocated in the charming historic village of Tappan New York, il Portico has received National Landmark status. Built in the early 1850s, it once served as a stagecoach stop and hotel offering weary travelers accommodations for 3 cents a night! The atmosphere is warm and romantic. We like to thank you for your support and your excellent review during a time when is very difficult to navigate the hospitality industry. We welcome your next visit in the near future. We will continue our post-Covid policy: with limited seating, reservation only - no walk-ins, and we will stagger our reservations.

Welcome to Sanzaris New Bridge Inn - a casual Italian/American restaurant, bar, and catering facility. Sanzari's has three separate rooms for dining and catering. Our bar room features a 20- stool luxurious bar with 5, 50" flat screen televisions for your viewing pleasure and 40 seats for table service. Our Main Dining room is elegant and seats approximately 70 guests. The upstairs catering room holds up to 110 people for functions such as birthday parties, anniversaries, communions, engagements, weddings, business meetings (with projection system available), bridal showers and much more.     The menu is very creative with something for everyone. I thought the apps and entres were fairly priced and the portion size ample. I had the octopus appetizer and was a little disappointed with how many legs were served. For entre, the Chicken Scarp was excellent with a good blend of sausage, chicken and peppers. It does seem odd to me that in a suburban quiet town like Ardsley, the bottle of wine prices started at $53. There was nothing special about our chardonnay.

    The chicken and veal saltimbocca was excellent . Portion was a nice size. Sufficient but not overwhelming. Desert was a possibility. Bring your own bottle is a nice cost saving.

    We had not been back since Covid and I’m so glad we returned. Peppe is a delightful host and the ambiance is like having dinner in someone’s beautiful home. Service could not be better and the food was excelle and beautifully presented. Don’t miss the cacio y pepe pasta. Can’t wait to go back!

    The 42 lemon drops were delicious! Our bartender was amazing, and the waygu meatballs??? Faggedabouttttitttttt they were so delicious 🤤 the seafood ocean raw platter was also delicious. & last but not least the steak was amazing. Definitely 10/10
