Inspired by the wood-fired Robata grills of Japan, Mizu offers a refreshed take on live-fire cooking atop the Hyatt Centric in the heart of Charlotte’s SouthPark neighborhood. Opened in August of 2021 and named one of 2022's "25 Best New Restaurants" and "50 Best Restaurants" by Charlotte Magazine, the rooftop restaurant by Indigo Road Hospitality Group (IRHG) combines the traditions of ancient Japanese cooking with Southern influences and Asian flavors. The kitchen, anchored by Mizu’s own Robata grill, features a seafood-focused menu composed of wood-fired, raw, and chilled offerings.The beverage program focuses on bright, easy-drinking libations using Japanese spirits and seasonal ingredients, complementing the cuisine and atmosphere. Our wait staff was friendly, quick, accommodating, and very respectful of the fact we had a small child. I didn’t have to ask for my daughter’s food to come out early the waitress had already planned it out to perfection. We enjoy spending special occasions at this place.

We had an amazing time at the Stonecrest location. Love the decor and new redesign. Food was outstanding and I appreciate that they have taken the time to develop a thoughtful second menu with delectable gluten-free and vegan options. Probably the best in Charlotte. The staff was attentive and the service was great. This is now our new favorite.
