We had a beautiful anniversary dinner at Donovan’s last night. It’s a bit if a financial splash but absolutely worth it for the quality of food, service, atmosphere and the wonderful ocean view. The Sticky Date Soufflé was the cherry on top. Please don’t take it off the menu ever. :)

It’s hard to keep this place a secret because it’s just so good

Wonderful menu choices and excellent cocktails. The ambience, views and music make for a great summer experience.

The food and view were Ok. Staff are quite nice too. Probably worth the money. I requested for Birthday Writings on the plate during the reservation. But, it was not provided and nobody told me that i should not be expecting for that too. Just a little disappointed as I wanted to surprise my partner.

Christmas lunch - and what a scrumptious lunch the three of us had. The freshest, tastiest oysters, the most delicious thymey terribe, a generous charcuterie board, home made breads, and salmon tartare - sooo good. There was plenty of choice for all food preferences. Our mains of duck breast, beef fillet and scallops were all perfectly cooked and presented followed by an amuse bouche that was both tangy, sweet and very refreshing. Daughter and I opted for creme brulee which was perfect - not too rich or sweet, silky smooth with its glowing toffee crust. Husband had the apple and blueberry crumble which he declared to be “yummy”. All with friendly service. A lovely lovely team who gave up their Xmas day to provide a memorable meal and day for us. Thank you so much, and thank you to the chefs, kitchen crew - and to the awesome magician who provided great tricks and laughs.
