Taking hospitality back to its roots with a warm welcome from our genuinely friendly team breathing new life back into the heart of the community. The menu will offer daily, hyper-seasonal specials, and plenty of British game, meat and fish. Executive chef and owner, Jamie Dobbin is passionate about local sourcing and traditional dishes, such as Half dozen Porthilly rock oysters with shallot dressing, Brixham King scallops with burnt butter cauliflower and caviar or Portland hogget Shepherd’s pie with grilled cutlet. Serious meat lovers can expect 45 day aged native and rare breed steak on offer as well as a hero dish of Beef Wellington for two. We had the a la carte menu which we felt was excellent value for money (the taster menu did look on the pricey side for a non Michelin restaurant). It was a Monday evening, so quiet. The service was just right for us; not too fussy but attentive. Food was amazing - very tasty indeed and plentiful for sure.

Very attractive riverside setting. Welcoming staff looked after us well. Good range of dishes on a la carte menu. Friendly and helpful advice from Hulya. Service paced well. Pleasant ambience. Some regular returning diners. A good experience.
