The stunning restaurant, which is the first of its kind in Radnor, will transport guests to the Greek Islands with an atmosphere reminiscent of an inviting Mediterranean home, and a menu of authentic specialties, simply prepared, that represent the best of Greek cuisine. The restaurant specializes in whole grilled fish, which are flown in from the Greek islands, the shores of Morocco, Tunisia and Portugal, and procured from independent North American fishermen. We have created a welcoming restaurant designed with the comforts of a typical Greek home. We used materials such as hand-chiseled Jerusalem limestone floors, hand woven rugs, vaulted ceilings, antiqued stucco walls, wood plank floors and exposed wood beams to evoke the traditional atmosphere. Our turkey entree was SO DELICiOUS… as were the sides… and the Filet mignon ordered by one person in our party… desserts were delicious too… the cappuccino could have been hotter.

Our family enjoyed a wonderful Thanksgiving this year at the Desmonde. Everyone from my 91yo Mom to my vegan 25yo neice and all the rest of us really enjoyed the food. The price was reasonable and it was so nice this year to skip the grocery shopping, housecleaning, table setting, food prepping & cooking and especially the cleanup at my home like all the years before. We all said we would do it again.

We were impressed with the Thanksgiving prix fixe meal. The food quantity and quality were very good. The service and atmosphere were also impressive. Only one negative was the food temperature. The soup and main meal were not warm. Everything else was so good it was easy to overlook that issue.

Met up with a longtime friend for a long overdue lunch. We chose The Refectory since it was mid way between our two homes. This was the first time each of had dined there and the experience was very enjoyable. Food, service, and atmosphere were all great. Definitely a return visit will be in the works.
