Shinsei Restaurant - Traditional Sushi / Contemporary Asian KitchenWhen we came up with the concept of Shinsei we wanted a place that reflected our lifestyles: sometimes we went out to dinner with our kids and sometimes with our friends and husbands. We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish.     Consistently the very best sushi. Everything is super fresh. So many unique and oh so beautiful choices. Don’t want sushi? They have amazing hot and cold dishes you don’t want to miss. Richard was our server and took really great care of us. Many staff members buzzing around the dining room delivering plates, clearing dishes, refilling water, and asking how everything is tasting.

    Lived up the talk about going to a Nobu restaurant. Everything was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent, and made a intimate graduation dinner very nice. Would definitely highly recommend, and will be dining again.

    Waiter (Jack) was prompt and efficient. However, our desire was to have a leisurely Christmas Eve dinner, but Jack explained that Chef wanted orders filled before finishing our starter and our cocktails. And sure enough along came our entrees! It was all about turning tables for the establishment ! Will never reserve at Nick & Sam’s on Holidays!!
