Izakaya Den is Denver’s popular Japanese gastropub, modeled after the lively after hours establishments found throughout Japan. The restaurant is located on South Pearl Street and is the second restaurant of the Kizaki brothers, founders and owners of Sushi Den. The menu is arranged in a tapas style, serving traditional Japanese small plates along with dishes infused with international flavors and textures. The more traditional Japanese offerings include sashimi and nigiri, sourced from daily fish shipments from around the globe, along with dumplings and noodle dishes. The global cuisine experiments with a bevy of different flavors including unique items such as Grilled Panzanella Salad (jumbo lump crab, toasted focaccia, local goat cheese, pistachios, plum wine vinaigrette), Kobe Beef Sliders (seared foie gras, pomme frittes).     Best chicken marsala dish of any restaurant! Perfectly seasoned and cooked with a delicious sauce; also had excellent sides with it--broccolini and roasted potatoes. Pizza was excellent as well. 2nd time here and will definitely be back!

    Never disappointed! The fixed price menu for Valentine's Day was absolutely delicious, matched by the usual impeccable service (thank you Gage!). The menu never gets old - always new items, or long-standing favorites prepared in a new fashion since our last visit (agnolotte cacio e pepe for example). Shout out to the bartender as well for a delicious white negroni. Already planning a return visit!!

    Matsu consistently has great food. The flavors are always original and everything is so fresh. The wait staff are all so knowledgeable, professional and helpful in picking perfect food.. in our party of 4, they really took care of our one gluten free diner to make sure each dish was modified and explained what they did. Thank you for another fun, delicious dinner.
