Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Ordered the prime rib . Was excellent and one of the best we’ve had. The staff was awesome and the restaurant had an amazing view . Went for my girlfriend’s birthday and she left wanting to come back . Fellas bring your woman here you can’t go wrong and the food is top notch grab a drink those were good too .

Castaway is an amazing location. Elegant, sophisticated and welcoming to all. We got to sit in the patio/veranda view section overlooking the city and beyond. The food was delicious and had no leftovers from us.

Me and my wife went and we had a blast we had a great waiter named Justin who checked on us and made sure we had a phenomenal experience. My wife had the Fish and Chips while I had the Prime Rib which was sublime. We enjoyed a complimentary desert with congratulations on it due to me and my wife being pregnant with triplets, this was a great experience I highly recommend.
