Mike, our waiter, was amazing. Very attentive, funny, professional, thoughtful, kind…couldn’t ask for anything better.

We were there for a Birthday, 1st table was in a noisy spot, they were so nice and reseated us in our own room. The server was one of the best I have ever had at a restaurant

Absolutely outstanding meal. I loved the restaurant from the moment I walked through the doors. The decor and ambiance was perfectly themed, my fiance and I couldn't stop looking around at all the little features and nautical decor. We went there for oysters, but stayed and had the duck and the swordfish. Both were absolutely amazing. Our server was also great. She gave us a bit of history on the building, and made the evening even more enjoyable. And dessert being on the house, since it was my fiancé's birthday, was a lovely surprise. Would highly recommend. We cannot wait to come back!

Our first time dining at CUT. Our server was amazing and the food was out of this world. We had the Caesar salad, bone in ribeye and baked potatoes followed by crème brûlée for dessert. We had a wonderful experience and definitely plan to come back for our anniversary.

First time dining at the Five Fishermen in Halifax. We are visiting from Saskatchewan and had always wanted to spend an evening there. Our experience exceeded our expectations. The ambience was amazing. Kristen - our waitress - was wonderful. We had 2 Celiacs (must eat gluten free) at our table and she really went above and beyond to guide us through the menu and ensure that our meals were prepared safely. Most items were gluten free. We shared 2 appetizers between the 4 of us. For our main meals - and because they were out of fresh lobsters - she had the chef create a lovely gluten free lobster and scallop risotto for two of us - which wasn't on the menu...but was fantastic. The men had steak and a burger. I had a glass of wine and the men had 2 draft beer each. For $249.99 plus tip, that was a great experience and more than worth the cost. If I could rate this place 10 stars I would. Highly, highly recommend. Will return the next time I'm in town. Cheers from Saskatchewan!!
