Shinsei Restaurant - Traditional Sushi / Contemporary Asian KitchenWhen we came up with the concept of Shinsei we wanted a place that reflected our lifestyles: sometimes we went out to dinner with our kids and sometimes with our friends and husbands. We wanted to create a place where a night out with the kids didn’t mean food adults had to suffer through or a night out with the parents didn’t mean a stuffy place where kids had to wear a scratchy clip-on tie. Shinsei is just that: a neighborhood gathering place with date night appeal. But not so unexpected that you won’t be able to decipher the menu or recognize your favorite dish. Our signature poppers, for instance, are a sophisticated mix of late night bar food and sumptuous finger food with a distinctly Asian flair.

Open for over 20 years, Oishii Owner & Executive Chef Thanh Nguyen serves some of the most creative comfort sashimi, sushi, and specialty rolls (including many rice-less and gluten-free options) in Dallas.     Wife wanted to go to Al Biernat's for our 24th anniversary, and it was exceptional. We were greeted at the door and shown to our table immediately. Our server took great care of us and checked in often to ensure we were well taken care of. My wife had the filet and it was extremely delicious and tender, and my surf and turf did not disappoint. The sides were delicious and there was enough to satisfy any appetite. I found it to be well worth the price and a great overall value and experience.

    Great service great customer service but the food was interesting.. lobster and shrimp appetizer toooo sweet, and the warm crab roll no taste like before and was not warm…. And the mash potatoes were dry and hard… The quality of food should be the same as how you present all the cuts of steaks.. especially for the price point!!!

    Food was fantastic, every ingredient had a purpose and a unique blend, easily the best Latino/hispanic themed restaurant I have experienced in 25+ years as an adult who spent many years working in the front and back of house in restaurants
