Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. I booked this venue for a pre Birthday/Christmas lunch for 2 of my girlfriends, one of whom was going to be celebrating her birthday in Dec. I arrived early and was shown to the table and waited for them to arrive. The young lady who served our table was very friendly and helpful when choosing what to eat. The drinks arrived shortly before the meal, which was excellent and well presented. Would certainly go back again

Had a smashing lunch with a friend. First time visiting other than for a Sunday roast. Place was buzzing. Thoroughly enjoyed my ribeye, beef dripping chips and broccoli and walnut salad with a nice bottle of red. Good service and not rushed. Very decent value too Will be back.
