We had roast dinners, burger, grilled catch of the day and the chowder- and all of those were of a very high standard. We were perhaps a little disappointed by the Turkish Delight panna cotta, but it was perfectly ok, just not as impressive as the main courses. The fluffy Gorgonzola went so well with rhubarb, and the Lambs’ hearts, and duck ragu on pasta were so satisfying to eat. Unfussy, flavourful food and wine. Great service. Both really tasty. The side of garlicky cabbage was awesome. Upon booking I requested a warm comfortable table for my 90 year old friend & we were greeted with a lovely reserved table by the fire & a cushion was provided for my elderly friend! Food was fantastic & very good value on the lunchtime offer! Service was impeccable! Thank you so much to all!
