The Britannia is Richmonds leading independent restaurant and bar. Located in the centre of town and down a very pretty cobbled alleyway, we are next to historic Richmond Green and two minutes from the Waterside.We have two large outside spaces - A roof terrace for traditional dining and a garden that lends itself to drinks and lighter fare. The bar inside is cosy with the bustle of a busy space and the upstairs restaurant tables have white cloths and lamps for a more intimate feel.Serving Day Boat Fish and Chips to grilled Lobster, Vegan and Vegetarian dishes along with award winning Mackens of Chiswick Steaks, simply the finest food in the area. 'The Crabtree, with its spectacular position downstream from The River Cafe,has a huge sprawling garden, a glazed colonnade and frontage on to theThames shaded by a weeping willow. The prawns in chilli hot oil and the toastspread with tomatoes and onions were good, so much so we ordered themagain when we returned for Sunday lunch.
