Casa Vega, in Sherman Oaks, opened its doors in 1956 and has been serving the people of Southern California ever since. Local residents, and even celebrities, have flocked to the family-run Mexican restaurant currently run by Christy Vega Fowler, daughter of original owner, Rafael Vega. While the decor is modern, the menu still reflects traditional Mexican menu staples. The extensive menu allows for every person to find something to enjoy. Petit Trois Le Valley, the second outpost of Chef Ludo Lefebvre's beloved bistro, opened its doors in 2018 in Sherman Oaks. The food here is outstanding! The service in my previous experiences has been VERY good! Tonight ... the service was sub-par! We waited almost an hour for someone to take our order. Not sure if they were short staffed or having a staff meeting or what- but all someone had to do was explain... instead I just heard 3 times, "we all work as a team here" what does that even mean???? I will give it another chance.. but Also they brought a "complementary" desert... I LOVE sweets, but this was terrible!! So glad I didn't pay for it! Guess they can't do sweets well!

Our reservation was for 2:30 last call for the kitchen was at 3pm. I was not aware that the kitchen was closing so early. The waitress was very nice but to get our stuff out was very slow and our food was cold. Not sure if it was because the time we got there or not. Over all the place was cute and the drinks were festive.
