Cooks & Soldiers brings the cuisine and cultural experience of Spain’s Basque region to the flourishing West Midtown area. The menu is divided into “pintxos tradicionales,” or tapas-like snacks served atop toasted bread; “pinxtos especiales,” or Basque-inspired small plates; “asador” including a variety of wood-grilled fish, meats and vegetables; and a selection of unique and modern desserts.     Overall a great experience. The server was amazing. The bread is to die for. The oysters were delicious. The peel /eat shrimp appetizer was great. The octopus appetizer was great. We also had the she crab soup, the mushroom side, the hushpuppy side. The entrees were the scallops dish and the flounder dish. Overall great. The wait time between dishes seemed very long. Not a place to go if you are on a tight schedule for event after dinner. Suggestion may be to order everything early on and let them glow it. Definitely will be back for oysters and appetizers.

    Great meal. Part of our party was late and they never rushed us ana in fact we felt worse than they seemed. Food was not rushed and arrived hot at the table. They servers were very friendly and made us feel well taken care of. Steaks and pork chop were tasty. Hash browns were wonderful as is the Mac and cheese. The ice cream cake that came for the birthday boy was amazing and is worth it at any price. Bones never disappoints.
