Located in historic Blagden Alley in D.C.'s Shaw neighborhood since 2015, The Dabney continues to pay tribute to the wonderful farmers, watermen, and purveyors of the mid-Atlantic region whom provide some of the best and most unique products in the country. We celebrate these ingredients by preparing them in a large wood burning hearth which is the centerpiece of our open kitchen. The current dining room experience is an 8-course tasting menu honoring the Mid-Atlantic's bounty. We offer an additional 3-course experience at our bar and bar area tables. The food was incredible, we absolutely loved every course. Our favorites were the Amish yellow chicken, the venison, and the charcoal and chocolate. If you’re in the DC area, Jônt is a must see location. The staff are so focused on their guests. Within one course they noted my husband was a leftie and set his silverware accordingly. They kept our wine, champagne, and water filled throughout the night. Truly a unique and wonderful location.

A consistent stop when we’re in DC, La Chaumiere never fails to please. We dined there two nights in a row since the quality and variety are virtually unmatched in the city. Our waiter Tony was extremely knowledgeable and unfailing gracious as was the entire staff. Watching the choreography of this experienced and expert staff on a busy night brought back memories of how service once was provided in fine restaurants. The food…always excellent. We ate our fill of soufflés and splurged on caviar and champaign in honor of our anniversary. You can’t go wrong with any choice. The prices..very fair for the quality you receive. Thank you for two wonderful nights of memories.

Was such a wonderful night. The restaurant was full but not so loud that you could not enjoy the conversation with your group. The food was outstanding. We could not stop talking about how cool it was that all of the ingredients came from the mid-Atlantic part of the USA. Service was wonderful. Cannot wait to go back again!
