The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. Great food with well thought out combinations. Had the Lamb Pita that was outstanding. Our server Lukas, was well versed to the menu and even asked for any allergies to help in selections. Great overall experience.

Everything is excellent. They just need to lower music a little bit and play something more soothing (eg Soft Jazz, Bossa Nova), that constant loud drum beat can be annoying at times. No one likes that music they play. Other than that, everything was great. Reading worth it.

My husband and I decided to grab an early lunch while we were picking up a Christmas dinner order in the area. I had no idea that there was a sister restaurant to Clyde’s. I have been to the location in DC, and I really enjoyed it there. So, I figured I would have the same experience, and I was right. The food is delicious, it was beautifully decorated for Christmas, and our server was knowledgeable and friendly. We didn’t even need to ask for refills; a replacement drink was on the table before we could even think to ask. Now, that is some stellar service! We will return with friends, and I have already recommended to a friend who is also a fan of Clydes in DC. Happy holidays!
