Following the success of his first restaurant in Vauxhall, chef and founder Ajay Chaurasia has opened a second site in Wimbledon, bringing his own personal take on Indian cuisine to South-west London. On offer is a range of lesser-known regional dishes along with plenty of tried-and-tested favourites so there’s something for everyone at this bright and cheerful restaurant. Chaurasia’s aim is to bring together flavours from all over the Indian continent, Sharing appetizers includes the likes of king prawns (Tiltala Jhinga) and sticky tamarind wings with avocado chat - a contemporary spin on the classic street food snack. Tandoor highlights include Murgh Hariyali Tikka, which is grilled chicken breast marinated with fresh green spices and yoghurt, as well as vegan options, too. The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. Nestled in the charming town of Ewell, there’s a small restaurant that serves up some of the most incredible Filipino cuisine you’ll ever taste. The service is amazing, the prices are very reasonable, and the food is delicious. The tuna tartare, sea bream kinilaw, and picanha are highly recommended.

Excellent food. I had the chicken malai tikka - so soft and juicy, came with fresh salad and an apple chutney that tied it up in a pretty sweet bow; and the slow cooked lamb raan? Absolutely no words do this justice; it’s off the bone soft, and the flavors on this thingggg I’m a big fan of excellent service, and they did not disappoint. Wonderful servers that always checked in and did not mind patiently answering all your questions.
