The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. The idea is to provide Londoners with a really relaxed venue for eating the finest British produce, cooked amazingly well, accompanied by excellent beer and wine at a great price.

Goldies’ menu focuses on the use of a wood-fired grill, with a selection of small and large plates connected by rich, smoky flavours. I booked for myself, baby and sister who flew over from Australia to enjoy a tasty English roast dinner. The staff were lovely, welcoming, helpful and very accommodating as soon as we walked in. They put us in the corner as my baby had fallen asleep, answered all of our questions about the menu, and offered me a lovely tea to end the delicious meal. Food was very tasty and just right to fill us up. Meal didn’t feel heavy and was full of flavour. Thank you for a lovely meal.

Dining at the smallest omakase in London was truly an unforgettable experience! Every detail, from the carefully chosen sustainable ingredients to the impeccable quality, showcased thoughtful craftsmanship. The intimate setting made it even more special. I’ll absolutely be coming back and can’t wait to recommend this gem to friends and family!

Charming and efficient service. We ordered the set “Experience” menu to save time. It was all delicious but the crusted chicken was a little dry. The room we were in was very cold but staff responded to our complaint and heating improved. The restaurant is stunningly decorated from floor to ceiling! The music was very loud 70s disco, so great for a party meal, not for a romantic evening.
