Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe. We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that! Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation. We used to go there all the time and stopped going about 8-9 months ago. Last time we were there the bartender was rude…. So we stopped going. We decided to give it another try, the bar area is very nice….and ….We had a great time, cocktails were great and portions were good size and bartenders were exceptional!!! If you haven’t been in awhile go…

Our first time! We have done fondue in other places but not at La Fondue. The menu has so many choices - it was impressive. We chose to grill the meat and my biggest complaint is that it was so dark we had to use flashlights to check if the meat was done. Also longer handled spatulas would be helpful to avoid splatter burns. Wait staff and fantastic!

Hector and Angie were the most gracious hosts. Hector took the time to take us through the menu and even gave us a little history lesson. The food was great, and the service was wonderful. We really enjoyed our dinner and the whole experience. We will definitely be back!
