Zitz Sum is a 30 seat seasonal restaurant located inside of an historic building in Coral Gables, Florida. Our story, is a story of resilience, passion & commitment, that is translated in a plate of food, excellent service and unapologetic gracious hospitality. Our current menu is an autobiographical journey reflecting Chef’s experiences and our affinity for Japanese ingredients and technique. We currently offer A la carte menu that changes with the seasons, and a Seven Course Tasting Menu that changes weekly. Our tasting menu consists of playful snacks and bites to get the night going, and an array of our signature and favorite current dishes. Part of the tasting menu is presented in a family style format conducive for sharing and celebrating. Zitz Sum is recipient of a 2022, 2023 & 2024 Michelin Guide Bib Gourmand Award, a 2022 James Beard Foundation Semifinalist for Best New Restaurant and a New York Times 2022 Best 50 Restaurants in America.

A pursuit for knowledge was the stimulus and continues to be the driving force behind Chef Niven’s career. Ghee means PURE and has a symbolic meaning both spiritually and in the kitchen of an Indian home. The restaurant encompass traditional Indian home cooking, ingredient driven using local artisan purveyors. Zucca was great! The service was superb, the food was delicious but the ambiance was amazing. Fresh flowers and linen tablecloths on a table that looked like Martha Stewart set it. Cozy booths and fine wine. I have heard the bartender is very good so I plan on having cocktails on my next visit. That’s right - I’m going back! To finish our lovely dinner off they served us a homemade Lemoncello aperitif.

Food was fantastic…we had a few appetizers. The lentil bread was great…Dosa short rib and Lamb curry was delicious. Waiter was very attentive. Overall, we left very satisfied!

Extraordinary things happen when actions and values align. This small, vibrant space served up subtle, sophisticated, mysteriously aromatic food, simply presented but described in detail by every person who came to our table. Crazy good food, pricey but reflective of its value-driven founders.
