Southern Kitchen, which is known as "The Mouth of the South" to the locals, serves up comfort food favorites. From collard greens to fried fish and chicken, the eatery provides a comfortable, relaxed spot for enjoying classic Southern food, beer, and wine for lunch, and dinner. Since opening in 2014, the restaurant has focused on providing good food paired with a classy experience and great customer service. Southern Kitchen features a variety of options for starting the meal, including fried oysters, fried okra, southern rolls, and salad. Enjoy sandwiches like the salmon cake and chicken club, or dive into some apple pecan salad, fried fish, big momma's chicken, and chicken livers and onions. Southern Kitchen also features plenty of filling plates, including the seafood platter, meatloaf, catfish, and southern-fried pork chops.

Welcome to Floris at VMFA!~ We've expanded our menu to offer a la carte offerings each day from 2:30 - 4:00pm, no reservations needed~Our high tea menu and tea service is offered daily from 11:30 am - 2:30pm priced at $55 per guest, not inclusive of tax and service. We kindly require each guest's participation.Floris invites you to immerse yourself in a culturally enriching tearoom experience at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. Nestled in the beautiful surroundings of the Robins Sculpture Garden, Floris is a community gathering space located in VMFA’s Pauley Center. Take a mid-day escape and indulge in delightful pleasures for the palate, including expertly crafted blends from guest tea makers. Chef Chainey Kuykendall’s use of fresh ingredients from local vendors and importers further enhances Floris’s celebration of cultures and community.Reservations for our high tea are encouraged, as seating is limited. Amuse is a seasonal, farm to table driven restaurant, located on the third floor of the museum. Whether you are dining in our main dining room, full-service bar, or our private dining room, you will be able to take in sweeping views of the Robins Sculpture Garden and the museum’s Cochrane Atrium. Our team works diligently to provide a menu that is directly inspired by the art-filled surroundings, current exhibitions, and seasonality while also carefully selecting only the finest ingredients from local vendors, artisans, and farmers. Just a friendly reminder that the museum does not allow balloons, confetti, glitter, plants potted with soil, and candles with open flames.     We had a bottle of sparkling Cremaint. It was incredible. Our server, Alex, was right there and recommended teas for us. It was an event for the Yoga Wine Club from Williamsburg. We will go again. Thank the VMFA for this tea room. It also was a history note being in the building for Confederate Women. Very interesting.

    What a delightful evening that did not disappoint! The service was top-notch, and the food was creative and cozy on a cold night. The restaurant is a feast for the eyes and the staff is very professional and friendly.

    Our overall experience was excellent. The staff did an amazing job for our son’s graduation lunch. I believe one of the waitresses name is Tameka. Please, forgive me if I mentioned the name incorrectly. The ambience, decor, food, and staff were all superb!! I will highly recommend “Small Batch Kitchen” to my family and friends. Shout out to the chef for delicious and elegant cuisine. The staff designed and created unique menus and table decor especially for our graduate. It was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant.
