Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe. We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that! One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. The assortment of food choices is vast, and we tried so many appetizers that we had to split an entree and couldn't even finish that. I highly recommend the bone marrow, pork belly, and Sea Bass nuggets. The Beef Tartare was probably the best I have ever had. Our Ribeye was cooked perfectly and while I'm not usually a potato guy, the way they do their LB Potato is really good. We loved the Creme Brule but they had so many desserts that we wish we could have tried them all. Ask for Jay's section if you go. He is one of the best servers in America!

The service was excellent, the food very delicious, the wine selection (we got a bottle of Prisoner Cab) reasonable. We come every once in a while. It is a bit expensive but well worth it. One of us had the garlic soup and he loved it, two of us split the butter leaf salad and the sausage appetizer. then we had 2 orders of the classic weiner schnitzel One of us alwaus get s the vanilla soufflé for dessert and one of us got the chocolate lava cake. Both are definitely winners. All in all a wonderful evening.

Great place to eat. Good food. Not an extensive wine list but it was ok. We ordered the halibut special, pork chop and salmon. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Loved our server Sri! Thanks for making dinner enjoyable.
