Nestled in downtown Los Gatos, Polenteria serves up Italian cuisine, that is Celiac safe. We are a small 22 seat restaurant, that is very intimate. With a European feel, many of our guests proclaim that they have been whisked away to Italy or France. We love that! Many accolades from the SF Chronicle, and the Mercury News as well as Eater SF hail Chef Yvonne and her team at Polenteria for being on the cutting edge of the Gluten Free Movement, and more importantly providing a safe space for those with Celiac to dine without hesitation. We celebrated our anniversary. They gave us the table we requested and made us a special “happy anniversary” card too, and decorated our dessert. We are regulars and they remembered us. Very enjoyable.

We have been here several times. My husband has Celiac and it's so wonderful to come to a restaurant that has no gluten so he doesn't have to worry about any cross-contamination. The food is spectacular and you would never know the bread is gluten free. The service is very attentive and the price is reasonable for type of food and service you receive. The restaurant is very small but you feel like if you are in a cozy dining room and in spite of the close proximity to other diners, it still feels very intimate.

The food was so good! I try to order something different every time. The green curry salmon was delightful and the only reason I didn’t finish it was because I wanted to save room for pineapple cake…which was amazing! Staff was friendly, attentive and brought out a sample of the curry sauce for me so I can see if I could handle the spice level. I love coming here! I need to try the sushi bar next.
