Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Our welcoming and eclectic atmosphere is appropriate for almost any occasion - whether it be meeting a friend for a drink, celebrating an important event, or relaxing after work. Our menu is a mixture of familiar Pittsburgh foods (think pierogies, hamburgers, French fries) and French bistro classics (beef tartare, raclette, mussels), and seasonal classics that come and go throughout the year. Food was good, service was good and friendly. A little disappointed by our seat option; the restaurant was aware that we were there for a special occasion and we were still seated on the “patio” right next to the door. Overall, I can’t make any real complaints. At the same time, I wasn’t exceedingly impressed so it wouldn’t be my first choice for our next special occasion meal

The menu is quite limited, but possibly that is why what they serve is very good. The beet salad was exceptional, our entrees were quite good and the chocolate ganache was great. Wide selections of beer and wine. Service was great. Only suggestion - which is minor was both my husband and I had entrees with a sauce at the bottom of the chicken and salmon - both sauces were a little cold. Maybe it was plated before the meat and fish were done or maybe cool bowls??

Everything is super balanced from the tapas to the large plates, the service is amazing and the ambiance made it a very comfortable experience. My date and I left with full bellies and left overs , 10/10!

Perfect. I am frequently there. Ashley- server. 1st time I’ve seen her. Best server I’ve ever had. She was sweet,’funny, attentive. Love her. Great seeing Jeff per usual. So nice to go to a place where the manager remembers your name. Even the valet was great. Food so good. I ate way too much and would do it again. Love it
