Quiessence is a fine dining, true farm to table restaurant located at The Farm at South Mountain, a 10 acre oasis by South Mountain. We have a 2 acre organic garden onsite that we utilize as much as possible for our dishes. Our menu changes regularly based on local and seasonal availability. Terra Tempe’s service as usual was extremely good and the staff was very courteous and friendly. I have been there consistently since their doors open, I was disappointed in the Mexican Prawns this years. I frequently order them but this time they dumped so maany hot pepper flakes into the dish that not only I but every one at our table had a hard time eating; way to spicy. Many of the dishes have been high quality and we love them but someone got carried away with the heat. The chicken sandwich was excellent and the chicken and dumplings was poor. This was a new menu just started a couple days prior to our arrival. I know they have the abilities to prepare much better food than we received on this night.
