The name Melina is rooted in Greek origin and derives from the Greek word for "honey". "Mel" can be derived from the name Melissa meaning "honey-bee". The restaurant is named after the daughter of Co-Founder Chef Dimitri Moshovitis. “Melina” will honor the strength of the matriarchy in the Greek family. It will lean vegetable-forward with modernized Greek classics from the sea and grilled meats. Always great to go to Medium Rare. The staff is so friendly. It was buzzing and we had to wait for awhile even with a reservation. It’s the holidays and we just chilled. It was worth the wait

I decided to be funny and come in with Rudolph, the red nose, reindeer hat to try to bring some chair in and the staff were amazing. We were greeted at the hostess stand by a great team requested Connor as we had had him a few times before it is an excellent service. I highly recommend him. Thanks for a memorable evening.

Impeccable service. Welcoming staff and atmosphere. Brilliant sauces. The house-made bread is wonderful, as is the baked squash dish. Desserts are divine (the custard and ice cream -wow!). Portions might be a tad bigger, but were delicious (lamb skewer and baked cod). I wish I didn't have to speak without raising my voice (perhaps a bit of sound abatement would help?). All in all, a lovely dining experience.

I love the selection of dishes at True Food. I like to eat vegetarian, which isn’t so easy at most restaurants. It is at True Food. I got the Ancient Grains bowl and added tofu. There were other protein options available. My friend and I shared the charred cauliflower appetizer. Everything was delicious. Service was outstanding. It is a bit noisy—high ceilings and noisy fans going, but our overall experience was very positive.
