Artisan Bistro is a modern and inviting dining room dressed in rich dark and light woods with elegant European design elements.     Our dining experience was fantastic from beginning to end; we enjoyed every moment. We even had a good laugh over the mix-up with the wagyu, but honestly, it turned out to be the best we've ever had. I can't think of a single dish or dessert we didn't love, and a big shoutout to Jared, the pastry chef, for making my early birthday dinner special. I really hope no 9 sticks around because the food here is the best in the city. Again thank you for amazing evening

    This is my 4th time to Mare and it never disappoints. I have been there for my anniversary, night out with my wife, and business and it is a perfect location for any occasion. There are so many restaurants in the NEnd and it can be hard to standout but Mare is unique from all the other N.End Italian restaurants. Seafood centric but not just, it has something for everyone. It isn't your checkered cloth, red sauce, restaurant so if that's what you want you will find a couple dozen other spots that would fit the bill down the street. But if you are looking for some of the best seafood fused with Italian cuisine, great drinks, a broad wine list across multiple price points, cool vibes, and intimate dining experience with terrific staff then this is your place. I highly recommend

    Staff was fantastic and greeted us immediately. They accommodated our change in the number of people in our party quickly, and with a smile! We also opted for a low-top instead of what was set, and they quickly and happily made the change. Excellent people!

    what is great about this restaurant is that it has unusual, creative high quality Greek food. Not like anything I have EVER had before. It is wonderful to have a fantastic choice other than Italian or steakhouse food that is such high quality. It is our new favorite restaurant and I could not recommend it more highly. The dishes were unbelievably creative in taste and texture. Pomegranate Glazed Eggplant! Wow. Lamb Arancini. Spanikopita Pizette. Burnt Orange Phyllo Bread Pudding! I could go on and on.

    Amazing restaurant in an old historic home. Atmosphere is great and staff is courteous. All dishes consumed by my party were amazing. I strongly recommend the ossobuco with saffron risotto!
