The original Vickers Tavern has been completely renovated, and the White Dog Cafe has preserved the building's history while adding chic farmhouse aesthetics and dog-themed decor. The restaurant features seven distinct dining rooms, each with its own unique personality and design. In addition, there is an expansive outdoor patio with a gas fireplace and retractable cover. The open Barn room includes a large oval bar, a sitting area by an open fireplace, and doors leading to the outdoor potting shed. We were greeted, seated and then treated to a lovely dining experience. We started with a couple of the specialty cocktails-Romarin and Nouveau Basilic: their pour was generous as our drinks lasted through our meals. A bonus of a basket of bread was brought to our table, such a rarity! Baguette, sourdough and what seamed a seasonal bread with cranberry and walnuts with beurre---seemed such a treat! Our waiter was attentive and made well informed dinner suggestions after asking us our preferences and we enjoyed the beef bourguignon; duck a l'orange and roasted chicken. Parc has made our top 10 list of places to eat while in Philly!

I am concerned that my credit card was not charged for the total amount including the tip. I called and was told the tip would be charged to my card in several days. That does not seem appropriate.

I have been to brookside several times and always leave satisfied. And mio was very good and my table mates enjoyed their meal. Also. Our server was very good, quite professional. I have Celiac and I'm always concerned that I will have cross-contamination issues but I've been fine every time. Thank you.

DK is a favorite, especially wonderful for special occasions. The many small dining rooms are lovely, fireplaces cozy, and bar bright and lively. Tonight’s dinner was beautifully presented, the flavors wonderful: scallops with shaved Brussels and bacon jam, filet mignon, beet salad, cappuccino chocolate truffle dessert, and as always pop-overs with lemon curd. Service friendly and professional. Top Notch!
