We are a warm, friendly pub situated in West Parley, Ferndown, serving traditional pub food every day till 10 pm. We have a wonderful, friendly team who are always happy to help. Families always welcome up to 9 pm, and we have a children's menu which includes a free dessert! We have a great selection of local cask ales, from The Dorset Brewing Company, and Ringwood Brewery, and run a collector card alongside the real ales where after 7 pints your 8th is free! Nice reception, nice decor and atmosphere. Drinks were too expensive and the food was fairly expensive but good. Service was generally very good. We would return, which probably says all you need to know. £144 for 2

My girlfriend and I went in a date here last night and it was incredible, the drinks were amazing and the waiting and bar staff were all happy for a chat and really seemed to love what they do. If I was to say anything negative it was that the live music made it difficult to have a conversation with my girlfriend sat 2 feet away and as such we had to leave before the 2nd group started rather than stay for more drinks. Other than that, we were each given a glass of Prosecco for the occasion of our date which we really appreciated and we will definitely come back soon

It has been a few months since we dined at The George but we received a lovely warm welcome and had a faultless, delicious dinner. Looking forward to returning .

Great meal in lovely location. Restaurant elegant with a relaxed atmosphere. Menu not large but had a good varied choice. Food well cooked and beautifully presented. Reasonably priced. Only criticism would be the lack of vegetables with the meal - they were more of a garnish. Would have liked a side dish of veg especially as the meat portions were quite large. Would definitely recommend.
