Skull Creek Dockside Restaurant, dropped its anchor in the Fall of 2017 and forever changed the culinary landscape of the Lowcountry. In early 2017 the partners of the restaurant began to transform it into their vision for Hilton Head's newest waterfront dining destination. This restaurant, which resembles an old-style river house, is full of authentic architecture, reclaimed wood, and nautical accents that leave you feeling like you've stepped into a Melville novel. My son loved the Mussels. I had the Camerons Ajo (shrimp) which was also fantastic. We shared the Elote dip which is such a great way to eat street corn. Portions were generous and we had leftovers. Everything exceeded my expectations. Delicious. We will be back soon.

The overall experience was great, from the food quality to the ambiance. Our server was excellent with information and timing. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely go back.

My husband ordered the duck & he said his was cooked perfectly - medium rare. The scalloped potatoes & veggies (green beans & carrots) were also delicious. He cleaned his plate. I had the smoked salmon appetizer which was good, not much different than what can be found in Costco or ordering online - it came with a lovely horseradish & dill sauce. I also had the crab, avocado appetizer which was more interesting. We had an early reservation which is what I prefer to eating later, but there were people waiting by the time we left around 6:30.

It is our go to restaurant for Christmas Eve. Jody did a great job. We had the special feast of the seven fishes. It was a lot of food and done well. I am Sicilian and my grandparents made the feast of the seven fishes every Christmas Eve. It was our family tradition. We have come for the last 3 years since we moved to Bluffton.
