The Hop Vine formerly the ‘Royal Hotel’ was built in 1874 and was the main stopping off point for goods being transported to and from the old Turnpike road the A59. The Royal as it was known has served the community and travellers alike. To the rear of the building in our historic Cobbled Garden you will find our own brewery housed in the stables which were used for the horses and stage coaches as they passed through the village. From Ales to YPA’s, to Blonde beers we are a small producer using primary English hops brewing exclusively in house for The Hop Vine and our sister pub the Legh Arms.Our countryside sister the Legh Arms is our latest addition to the family and is situated in the pretty hamlet of Mere Brow. Great value, service, food. Gemma, Ben, Joseph and colleagues in restaurant team were exceptional and tailored the dining experience to our needs based upon previous visits without us even having to ask. As you'd expect, steaks were beautifully cooked and seasoned, good range of delicious starters and desserts. My wife and I attended with our two adult daughters and great cross section of diners in lovely part of town. Thanks for another lovely night team and fir making our annual pre Christmas family night out so special.

really good mocktails - it’s not on the menu so you have to ask. we got strawberry daiquiris and piña coladas and they were so good!! will be coming back! I think the lady who gave us the food was in such a rush everytime she gave our appetizers she could’ve just waited and said what each item was over the noise and ask if we needed anything (because we did). Asian guy who served us the drinks to our table was so lovely! Live music was a lovely touch.
