Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

Just opened 14 Feb 2022!Walking into Emilia’s Wood Wharf will be like entering a bustling trattoria in Italy’s Emilia Romagna region with an ambience created by natural terracotta-plastered walls bathed in natural light, rustic Iroko furniture, creamy crema marfil marble counters and hand-painted Italian tiles. We’ve long loved Canary Wharf and it's rich history of the nearby Docklands and Billingsgate Market, yet Blacklock in a glass tower never quite fit. A group of three were seated by the window with a view towards all of Canary Wharf with its Xmas lighting, etc. Extremely accessible using the Wood Wharf exit of the Jubilee Line, it is a three-minute walk from the exit. I brought two bottles of wine on reduced corkage Monday and it was decanted and professionally served by the sommelier. The beef, side dishes and dessert were all top notch and diners left happy. Service was excellent and attentive. Great dining experience.

Our booking was 12:45. Arrived early , didn’t have to wait for our table and went straight to our space and was served straight away which I thought was great, usually restaurants keep you waiting till your booking, this wasn’t the case and the afternoon was lovely . Thank you Ivy and your staff
