Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The food and presentation of the food was just incredible. The sushi rolls we order tasted absolutely amazing!! The prawn tempura, the lobster and the soft shell crab were a taste sensation.

I tried this for the first time on Thursday, taking advantage of their fixed price lunch menu. Wow! Delicious food & excellent value for money. Service was faultless and the restaurant itself is beautifully & sumptuously decorated. I’ll definitely be back and I’m already recommending it to my friends as the go-to Turkish restaurant in the area. 10/10 ❤️
