Meat & Potatoes is a high end gastropub in downtown Pittsburgh. Its kitchen takes as its inspiration the idea of elevating comfort food to a gourmet level. Its chefs are inspired by fresh, seasonal ingredients and its bar staff creates innovative cocktails and serves a range of wines by the glass and draught beers, as well. The menu at Meat & Potatoes is a new take on basic.     In addition to the beautiful train depot surroundings all decorated with for the holiday season, the food was delicious! We enjoyed the calamari appetizer, the French Dip Prime Rib sandwich and the Bronzed Salmon. Yum! Also our server, Stacy, was delightful!

    The Winter Salad has a perfect balancr of flavors and textures. Highly recommend. The Ricotta Cavelltrlli also had just the balance of lightness and heaviness, richness and savory vegetables. Husband had perfectly cooked strip steak.

    Exceptional, elegant, outstanding. Our waiter Gregory was pleasant, courteous, gracious, considerate, thoughtful, understanding, accommodating, attentive and professional. Every dish of the Feast of the Seven Fishes was exceptional. Chef was superb. Staff was superb. Waiter was superb. Bartender that prepared our Old Fashion Bourbon was the best of the best. We genuinely hope that everyone has the best of holidays.

    My wife loved her scallops. The salmon was very creative and delicious. Potato soup was excellent. Our waiter was very friendly. They made sure we had time to get to our show. Would definitely recommend this establishment 👍👍
