Butterjoint is a comfy bar and restaurant located in North Oakland. Our welcoming and eclectic atmosphere is appropriate for almost any occasion - whether it be meeting a friend for a drink, celebrating an important event, or relaxing after work. Our menu is a mixture of familiar Pittsburgh foods (think pierogies, hamburgers, French fries) and French bistro classics (beef tartare, raclette, mussels), and seasonal classics that come and go throughout the year. We put care into our vegetarian dishes too, including making our own tempeh, falafel, and veggie patties from scratch. Menu items change frequently--usually every day--and reflect many long-standing relationships we have with farms and breweries in our region. In addition to reservations, we also have a thirty seat bar that is first come, first serve. We don’t know exactly how old the bar is, but it’s at least seventy years old (probably older) and very cozy. Our friendly bartenders are here to make something you like.

Meat & Potatoes is a high end gastropub in downtown Pittsburgh. Its kitchen takes as its inspiration the idea of elevating comfort food to a gourmet level. The food was absolutely perfect. Our server was very attentive and professional. She knew when to come in to take something away and she knew what to suggest for dessert. The whole experience was great, just like every time we come.

We had a phenomenal experience at Soba. The ambience is great, the food is amazing (and the portion sizes as well, surprisingly), and their service was attentive and helpful but not too intrusive. We had a few concerns going there since my partner is allergic to seafood; however, their menu clearly marked vegan items that would be safe for her to eat (and she’s still breathing). We felt we certainly got what we paid for and will be coming back! Great for a date night or a vibe-y place to just hang out and have some great food.
