Kokkari (pronounced “Ko-Kar-ee”) is a small fishing village located on the islands of Samos in the Aegean Sea, whose name is derived from the small onions that were once produced in the nearby fields.     Our chef, James, was THE BEST CHEF WE’VE HAD in a very long time! He was friendly and fun! The food was delicious, as always. Thank you for another memorable dinner experience! We will be back!

    Parking is an issue. This is a “neighborhood” spot off of a busy Rl Camino Blvd in Millbrae. Food was ok not great. Very noisy and bustling if that’s your thing. Service was very good. Great pours of wine by the glass( equivalent of 2 normal glasses)

    The server gave off an odd vibe. He had a bit of attitude at times, and seemed to be a bit frustrated even though he shouldn’t have been.

    The restaurant’s ambiance is that of a classy restaurant. The upstairs has a bar area that has a great view of the bay. The bar itself is very upscale and elegant. The downstairs dining room is elegant and inviting. Glass windows from floor to ceiling allow great natural light. The food was very good. The poke bowl was fresh and had a nice combination of tuna and fresh veggies on a bed of rice. Try their homemade hot sauce with it. The Caesar salad was fresh with anchovies included. The salmon was added to the Caesar and was cooked very well. Not dry, as it can be. Overall, a great spot for lunch. They’re open Tuedays and Thursdays for happy hour 3-7, however, not for dinner. Probably as it is in a business district.
